So, in the process of getting a new vehicle I took two VIN numbers to a man at the insurance agency I've used for the past three years. The two numbers were for an '08 and an '09 car (the '08 first just to get a reference). He tells me the approximate increase in my monthly bill will be around $47.50 (for the '09). I go ahead and buy the car, my monthly bill has gone up just right over $200 more. Any affordable health insurance options for a 65 years old thats not eligible for Medicare?

My in laws are 65 years old and just moved to the US (legally!). Because they are not US Citizens yet, and it will take 5 to 6 years for that to happen, they do not qualify for Medicare. So my question is, is there any affordable option to get healthcare coverage for someone who is over 65 yrs old? Because my husband and I are sponsoring them if they cannot pay for a medical (or any other) bill, they will come after us and we all know how expensive cancer or even a simple surgery can be, needless to say that we are not sleeping well at night! I messed up, and rear ended a car. The cop said that while it was my fault, and I admitted that, it's largely because of the crazy intersection. Anyways, my car doesn't have a scratch but the other car's bumper completely fell off (It was a cheap car, so I'd estimate the damages at about $500 at the MOST. If that effects anything). No one was hurt either. I'm insured by AAA, but I'm a 17 year old so I know it looks bad. I've never gotten in an accident before, and I've been driving for almost two years. Seven weeks ago i got into a very bad car accident on the freeway.
